Twenty-five years ago I attended the “topping off” construction party for the new performing arts center on Okeechobee Blvd. It would be known as the Kravis Center. The gathering was an “over the top” event featuring an assortment of food stations, great music and a tour of the building, including getting a chance to sing “Happy Birthday” on the huge Kravis stage.
Exciting things are happening on the Palm Beach County theater scene in preparation for the start of the 2016-17 season.
These are a combination of happy and sad days. Sad because the theater seasons are coming to a close…happy and excited because they’ve released a stellar new season for 2016/17.
