Palm Beach Dramaworks at the Don and Ann Brown Theatre in West Palm Beach kicked off the 2019/20 season with a production exemplifying the WOW factor. The Tennessee Williams drama, A Streetcar Named Desire, features a cast of outstanding actors. Starring Danny Gavigan as Stanley Kowasiski, the crude husband of Stella (Annie Grier) bred and brought up as a Southern Belle and sister of Blanche DuBois portrayed by Kathy McCafferty.

The August Wilson play, Fences, which ended on April 21, brought the days of segregation to the stage. The storyline follows the outcome of a black man who is an outstanding baseball player but is denied a chance at playing in the Major Leagues because of the color of his skin.
