Palm Beach County’s Leading Resource to Secure Employment and Volunteer Opportunities for Mature Workers to Host Awards Breakfast at 8am Friday, Nov. 22 at Hyatt Place Delray Beach
Ten Thousand people turn 65 every day in the United States, and many are coming to Palm Beach County seeking continued meaning and purpose in their lives—not to fully retire from engagement in life. While many see our aging society as a problem, Encore Palm Beach County sees it as a solution.
Founded just three years ago by retired investment advisor and social entrepreneur Rosemary Nixon, Encore Palm Beach County is dedicated to securing employment and volunteer opportunities for mature workers. “Those in and beyond midlife represent a powerful source of talent with the accumulated skills, experience and wisdom to tackle some of society’s most urgent challenges,” says Nixon.
Encore PBC has hit the ground running, and Nixon is confident about the organization’s future success.
“My vision for Encore Palm Beach County is that we become the one place people over 50 can go to find what they need to contribute to their continued engagement with life and purpose,” Nixon adds.
To recognize those businesses and organizations that have spearheaded the effort to integrate mature workers into the workplace, Encore Palm Beach County is hosting its first annual “Wisdom & Experience Works for Business” Awards breakfast at 8am, Friday Nov. 22 at Hyatt Place Delray Beach. So, be a part of history and support the mission of Encore Palm Beach County. Tickets are $25, and you can register at www.encorepbc.org.
