Palm Beach North Chamber Holds CEO Connection

Featuring Teresa Urquhart/Chief Executive Officer for Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center

On Friday April 12 from 11:30 to 1pm, the Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce held its quarterly CEO Connection luncheon featuring delicious food and renowned community leader Teresa C. Urquhart as guest speaker. As the Chief Executive Officer for Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center, Urquhart is responsible for overseeing all strategic, operational and clinical activities of the 199-bed acute care hospital. In her presentation, she reflected upon the unique challenges and opportunities facing a cutting-edge healthcare institution like Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center. Undoubtedly, the Center has a highly qualified person to hold the reins.

Urquhart has over 30 years of healthcare experience with a proven record of developing strategies and business operations that drive results within the Tenet Healthcare community. Most recently, Urquhart was the Chief Operating Officer of the Palm Beach Market, based out of sister hospital, Delray Medical Center.

Past roles include, Chief Operating Officer at North Fulton Hospital in Roswell, Georgia; and she also served as Chief Executive Officer at another Tenet Healthcare hospital, Coastal Carolina Hospital in Hardeeville, South Carolina.

Urquhart earned a Bachelor of Science in Medical Records Administration from Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, North Carolina. She continued her education and earned her Master of Arts in Health Services Administration from Webster University in El Paso, Texas. She currently serves as a Trustee member for the Chamber of the Palm Beaches and is as an Executive Trustee Council member with the Palm Beach North Chamber. Urquhart lives in Northern Palm Beach County with her husband, David Urquhart. She is a proud mother of twin daughters and a son. Last, but not least, Urquhart is one heck of a golfer!
